Hurricane Bill is forecast to strengthen rapidly on Tuesday into a Category 3 hurricane with winds above 125 mph, but it looks like it will veer away northward before reaching the Virgin Islands.

This computer model map below shows Bill’s storm track as various “spaghetti models” as it approaches the Caribbean, with almost all projected tracks showing a near direct hit on Bermuda.

As seen in this map, tropical storm force winds extend outward from Bill’s center for hundreds of miles along the storm track.
