Happiest Man In America

Happiest Man In America – According to a newspaper the happiest man in America has been found.

Gallup just released its list of happiest and the least happy states in America aside from that it was asked by New York Times to describe the hypothetical happiest person.

Alvin Wong in Hawaii is the person that the description matched according to the news source.

According to Gallup the description of the Happiest Man in Hawaii is “He’s a tall, Asian American, observant Jew who is at least 65 and married, has children, lives in Hawaii, runs his own business and has a household income of more than $120,000 a year” which typically describes Alvin Wong.

The newspaper checked the person and behold all the description matched with the lifestyle of the person.

Alvin Wong also lives in Hawaii which according to Gallup is the happiest state in all of the United States.

This does not mean though that one need to move to Hawaii, become a Jew or earn an income of $120,000 a year.

Different theories abound regarding happiness as religion and ethnicity are not all there is to happiness.

Catholics Come Home

Catholics Come Home – The Boston Archdiocese launched its Catholics Come Home program.

Cardinal Sean O’Malley started the program aimed at drawing back Catholics into the fold.

The Boston Catholic Church launched the program last Ash Wednesday which is the start of the Lenten Season and ends with the Easter Sunday.

The message of the ad is simple “We miss you and our worshipping communities are diminished because of your absence.”

The message will be heralded by at least 2,500 TV and radio ads.

The message to come home comes at a time that the state is beset with religious problems particularly on its clergy sex abuse scandals.

The Boston Archdiocese has a census of 1.8 million Catholics but only sixteen percent of them are attending mass daily.

According to Cardinal O’Malley “Although the sexual abuse crisis has been such a painful episode for all of us, still we believe in the Catholic Church and we believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ”.
