Gulf Spill Update – The latest in the Gulf spill update involves BP CEO Bob Dudley’s apology.

BP CEO Bob Dudley started a speech in a major oil conference with an apology on the gulf spill, updates of the news reports.

The Gulf spill report concerns the Deepwater Horizon disaster that killed eleven people.

In the CERAWeek conference the CEO promised a non-repetition of the incident regarding the oil spill and the explosion.

According to Dudley “We are determined we will once again restore that trust and I realize this requires action, not words.”

He further adds the need to earn again the trust of the industry, the state and the leaders as well as the residents in order for the company to move forward to what it was before the incident.

Production in two platforms has already been halted and as well as a pipeline was closed for maintenance purposes.

Earthquake In Japan – An earthquake in Japan shook its northeastern border prompting officials to issue a tsunami warning.

The earthquake in Japan caused officials worry of a possible tsunami after effect though the tsunami warning was lifted later.

Japan Nuclear Fuel Ltd. meanwhile, reports no damage at its Aomori nuclear fuel facility.

Pennsylvania Farmhouse Fire – Seven children die in a Pennsylvania farmhouse fire with only one child survivor.

The children were found dead after the Pennsylvania farmhouse fire was extinguished and were diagnosed to die of smoke inhalation.

During the farmhouse fire incident, the mother was milking the cows while the father was napping during a break from his job.

The survivor, a 3 year old child noticed that the house is filled with smoke she ran to her mother according to reports on the farmhouse fire incident.

The mother, Mrs. Clouse, attempted entry but could not get through and so she sought help from neighbors.

The second neighbor called 911 and they came 15 minutes later but the house was already in flames.

The family has lived in the area for five years were neighbors had heard them complain on having problems in keeping the house warm.

They apparently decided to use propane heat although it was not yet known whether propane is considered a factor for the Pennsylvania farmhouse fire.
